Originally from Lebanon, Dr. Katme obtained his medical doctorate from Cairo University in 1970. Two years later, he emigrated to the United Kingdom, where he specialized in psychiatry and has become a leading voice on medical ethics and family issues. He is currently the Spokesperson of the Islamic Medical Association of the United Kingdom. A frequent speaker at international conferences, Dr. Katme is also present to a much wider audience: every week, he hosts one satellite-TV and four radio shows, two in English and two in Arabic, of special interest to Muslims in the UK and abroad.
